Join us for a special 150th anniversary reception in the lobby of City hall prior to the City Council meeting. During the meeting, guests can get sesquicentennial updates and see award-winning historic artwork by local high school students.
The Redwood City student poster art contest is open to all Redwood City High School students. ie: Sequoia, Woodside and all charter and extension schools. Entry theme is "Redwood City - Past - Present and Future."
Posters must be original mixed media art work. Size to be 11" x 17" to 18" x 24". Entries must be received by Nov. 10, 2016.
ALL entries will be displayed throughout the year at events sponsored by the Sesquicentennial Committee.
1st - 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded along with honorable mentions. The prizes will be awarded at the Redwood City Council meeting on Jan. 9, 2017. Art work will be displayed on a virtual site.
The Redwood City Sesquicentennial Committee, along with the Sequoia High School Alumni Association is sponsoring this contest. We are encouraging participation of high school students in this contest to make them aware of the celebration and to learn about the history of Redwood City.
